Chocolate House Venchi has a tradition of over 130 years and is among the most respected Italian manufacturers of chocolate and pralines. The company was founded in Italy in 1878 by Sylvano Venchi as a small family business. From the very beginning, exclusive recipes and first-class ingredients have been key for Venchi. Every ingredient is carefully selected, from cocoa from Venezuela, Ecuador, or Africa, to hazelnuts from Piedmont or almonds from Sicily. The chocolate house uses only natural vanilla, not vanillin or vanilla extract, and its products contain no preservatives, colorings, or genetically modified ingredients (GMO free).
Among the most famous products is the Giandujotti line, based on chocolate with Gianduja hazelnut paste, or whole hazelnuts, which come from northern Italy, the Piedmont region. These nuts are generally considered the highest quality in the world and carry the I.G.P. Piemont certification. All bars and pralines with 75% and 85% cocoa content are made from the fine aromatic Criollo cocoa bean variety combined with the Forastero variety.
