Dark 71% chocolate from a Madagascan plantation with a unique flavor profile. The Mangaro plantation is located in the northern region of the island of Madagascar, in the Sambirano River valley. The chocolate owes its taste to the plantation's unique location in a tropical climate combined with the influence of the Indian Ocean and the soil, which originally grew mangoes. This soil gained specific characteristics from them, and the cocoa trees cultivated here have an interesting aromatic note.
Notes of exotic fruit and citrus interestingly contrast with a hint of gingerbread in this unique chocolate made from aromatic Criollo cocoa beans.
In 2021, the Cluizel manufactory introduced a range of new recipes and innovations. In addition to a design change, you can expect intense flavors, high cocoa content, and perfectly processed premium ingredients, which is, after all, the standard for this family chocolate maker.

The family chocolate maker from Normandy in northern France was founded in 1948. It offers a unique range of plantation chocolates, luxurious chocolate tasting sets, and nearly 200 varieties of handmade pralines. Since 1997, Michel Cluizel has systematically sought out exceptional plantations in countries renowned for producing quality cocoa. He establishes long-term relationships with them and pays fair, above-standard prices. This allows him to oversee the first-class quality of the cocoa beans. Regarding ingredients, Michel Cluizel is truly meticulous. He even patented the trademark „Nobles Ingredients,“ which in practice means he uses pure cocoa butter without any vegetable fat additives, cane sugar instead of beet sugar, natural Bourbon vanilla instead of vanillin, does not use soy lecithin, and all products are 100% free from genetically modified organisms (GMO-free).
